What We've Been Up to Lately.....

We went iceskating with Nate, Denise and Buddy. Kailey absolutely loved it! Can you believe how small they make ice-skates? They are sooo cute!

Kailey got a princess tent for Christmas. She has lived in that thing ever since. As you can see, everything goes in the tent. She loves playing in the tent with her babies. Here she was tuckered out after a long day of playing.

We have been busy finishing our basement. (Or should I say Trevor is finishing the basement.) He has done everything himself. He's so handy! I am so lucky to have him! We are saving a ton of money.

I got a popcorn maker for Christmas and we have taken advantage of the delicious homemade popcorn. Kailey likes it more than I do though. Here Buddy and Kailey are getting in on eating it before it is even done popping.

This is a sunset a few weeks ago that I had to get a picture of. Ever since going through cancer, I have had a different perspective on nature and life in general. I appreciate the beauty that is around me a lot more than I used to. Isn't this just gorgeous?

Merry Christmas

We didn't get a lot of Christmas Cards sent out, so this electronic version will have to do. We hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!

Fighting to brush her teeth!

Kailey hates to brush her teeth. Every night it is a big fight for her to brush her teeth. We bought her an electric (Kitty) Toothbrush thinking this would help. The first night, she liked it and we thought...PERFECT! That is all we needed! Well, that has changed. She doesn't like the kitty so much anymore. The only way we could get her to brush her teeth was to tell her we were going to take some pictures of her brushing her teeth. And it worked! If you have any other creative ideas of how to get your kids to brush their teeth, send them our way! She looks so innocent as if she just LOVES to brush her teeth, doesn't she? If only it was like this all the time. Of course after she was done, she had to show us how clean her teeth were!

Pictures

Trevor has really been into taking pictures lately and is experimenting with new things all the time. Here are some of our latest pics. If you are interested in us taking your pictures, let us know. We are definitely amateurs, but have found a new hobby we enjoy.

My friends had some pictures on the railroad tracks and I thought they were way cute, so we gave it a try. Kailey just woke up from her nap and wasn't too smiley, but it was fun anyway. These other pictures Trevor was playing around with in our house and they turned out cute too!

Amy's New Doo!

So since my hair has grown back, I haven't had a hair cut yet. I was starting to have a major mullet and needed some desperate help! My friend in my ward said she could help me so I went over to her house yesterday and she cut and colored my hair. She did AWESOME! I love it! It looks soooo much better! Thanks Rachelle! If any of you are interested in getting your hair done, I would HIGHLY recommend her! I can get you her information if you want to leave me a comment!

Here is a BEFORE picture so you can see the difference.

Is that the Bear Lake Monster?

We went fishing yesterday with Mick, Teresa and Hillary. Here is what Trevor caught. It ended up being a 9 pound Mackinaw. Trevor struggled getting it in because it was fighting pretty hard. Awesome fish TREV!!

Shopping at Albertsons = $64.99 Smile on Amy's Face = PRICELESS

There is a good sale going on at Albertsons, so last night, I stayed up late cutting all of my coupons for the "BIG DAY". It took me quite a bit of time, but wow, was it worth it!

Denise and I got up and were at Albertsons at 5 A.M. Yes, that's right 5 a.m. when they opened. There were some good deals and we had to beat everyone else too them. We were amazed at how many insane people were waiting outside with us for them to open the doors. (At least Denise and I know we aren't the only crazy people around). Anyway, they have a deal where if you spend $30, you get $15 off voucher that prints to use on your next shopping order. I had to do 6 different transactions, so when the $15 voucher printed, I just used it on the next transaction. This is what I got.

Total Spent $64.99
Total Saved: $248.66
Total coupons $135.65(which I spent all of my time cutting out last night )

Here is an idea of some of the prices that I paid:

All Detergent: 67 Cents (now you can see why I got 13 of them)
Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion: FREE
Suave Lotion: 50 cents
5 lb bag flour: 25 cents
Skippy Peanut Butter: 88 cents
Progressive Soup: FREE
Mushrooms: $1.69
Best Foods Mayonnaise: 65 cents
Suave Deodorant: 9 cents
Cookie Pouches: 9 cents
Macaroni Grill Pasta : 67 cents
Betty Crocker Warm Delights: 75 cents
Albertsons Salt: 50 cents

Trevor and Nathan thought we were crazy to go that early, but I think we proved to them that it was way worth it! I think Denise and I have bragging rights on what we spent, don't you think?

When there is SILENCE.....

So the other day, Trevor was cleaning the kitchen (while I was at work...I know, I have the best husband ever). Anyway, he said Kailey was playing and then she all of a sudden got really quiet. He sneaked in to see what she was up to and this is what he found.

Fishing

We took advantage of the warm weather last weekend and went fishing. We didn't have much luck, but it was fun to just relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding.
